The Vedas are Shruti — that which was heard by the Ṛṣhis in deep meditation. The Mother is Shakti — the Divine Consciousness that descends to transform earth and body. This conference brings the two together in Puducherry, the ground of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother’s work for supramental transformation.

Transformation calls for the presence and action of the Divine Mother — the conscious force that works upon mind, life and body.
Wisdom in many forms
Vāk, Sarasvatī, Aditi, Uṣhas, Iḷā and Bhāratī reveal a Vedic psychology where feminine powers support cosmic and human evolution.

Why this meeting matters
Sri Aurobindo read the Veda as a profound record of spiritual experience, revealing a vision of Truth-Consciousness — Sat-Chit-Ānanda — that is life-affirming, transformative and evolutionary.
The Devī Sūkta gives voice to the Divine Feminine as the source of wisdom, creativity, sovereignty and realization. In Sri Aurobindo’s work, the Mother’s four powers — Maheshwarī, Mahākālī, Mahālakṣhmī and Mahāsarasvatī — bring wisdom, strength, harmony and perfection in work.
Building on the work of Sri T. V. Kapāli Sāstry, Sri A. B. Purāṇi, Sri M. P. Pandit and Dr. R. L. Kashyap, the conference considers the Veda as a science of consciousness with relevance to the present moment.
